PiChaiYuan Hot Pot: Reviews & Ratings
Place is a nice spot but kind of on the low lighting dark side. Seating is a little tight but nice and personal. Food is always looked over as to replace to keep maximum fresh foods on hand. It is great for noodle heads due to the variety of noodles and the broth and vegetables are excellent.
Heard about this place through social media so came to try it with some friends. We came for dinner and it was busy when we got here so we had to get on the waitlist. The wait wasn't too bad, we got a table in around 15-20 minutes. The tables here are nice with a traditional Chinese vibe. They also have an outdoor seating. You start off with selecting your soup base and you can do one base or do half-half, which is what we went with. We got the mala and the original. As for the tier, we went with the second one which was $32.99. The employees brought the soup pot over shortly and took our meat orders. We ordered one of each of the meat in that section which included lamb, USDA beef, and pork. The lowest tier meats are all self-serve which you grab yourself with the veggies, noodles, and other hotpot foods. They also a sauce section and some drinks. The meat quality for the lowest tier wasn't that good since there was a lot of fat on them but it did make it more tender. When the higher tiered meat came, the portion was pretty big like around 10-12 slices on the place for each. They also serve them pretty fast and I saw that they slice it themselves. The meat quality for those were just alright since some of the selections were more skinny and it was dry to chew. The broths were just alright as well. Overall, this is a decent all-you-can-eat hotpot for the price but I feel like the meat quality could be better. I liked that their service was fast unlike some other all you can eat where they kind of serve the meat slowly. The portions are also generous per plate so we got filled quite fast.
Saturday 2/7/26 Lunch at PiChaiYuan Hot Pot with my sister on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Delicious and fresh! Includes free drinks: passion fruits, chrysanthemum, and winter melon. Self service meats and vegetables. The soup base of the hot pot has lots of spices and very flavorful. The prices comes in 3 different tiers starting at $19.99 per person on weekends. Weekends got the top tier price. Great value for fresh ingredients and free selected drinks. The restaurant was nicely set up and cleaned. The service staffs worked hard and quickly to service customers. I recommend this restaurant and will be going back to enjoy all the delicious items and drinks. Restaurant Enthusiast David Young
I think it’s very good for the price. It’s one of the cheapest Ayce hot pots in LA. However, you can kinda tell that the ingredients aren’t like a hundred percent fresh. I do recommend coming at lunch since it’s the same menu but less people and cheaper. The portions are incredibly large so you probably won’t get through as many plates. Most of their meats and veggies and seafood are self serve so expect them flash frozen and thawed for eating. The service was nice, nothing over the top and nothing to complain about. There was a lot of kids running around uncontrolled which did diminish the experience. Overall I think this is a great place for lunch or dinner where you just want to get your belly full. However we do live in LA which means we get spoiled by the dozens of other hot pots or bbqs within a ten mile radius that is better.
This is hands down the best hot pot restaurant in Los Angeles when it comes to value for money! First of all, the price is unbeatable—I usually go for the $29 per person Set B. The buffet has no hidden charges, which is a huge plus, and it includes all the sauces, snacks, and even some drinks. The quality of the meat is incredibly fresh, and the variety of ingredients is impressive. There are even 6-7 types of snacks available! Most importantly, the service is exceptional. Although they are a bit short-staffed and busy, they are incredibly generous with the meat and constantly check if you need more. Unlike other buffets where it takes forever to get more food, they are super efficient. A solid five stars—highly recommended! Don’t miss out!
Had a great hot pot experience at Pi Chai Yuan. The ingredients were fresh and there was a large selection of meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles to choose from. The broth was flavorful and perfect for cooking everything at the table. The sauce bar is also a highlight—you can mix your own dipping sauces to customize every bite. The restaurant is spacious and great for dining with friends or family. Overall a fun and satisfying hot pot spot if you're craving all-you-can-eat hot pot.
For the $19.99 AYCE lunch, I have no complaints whatsoever. It exceeded all of our expectations. I've been cooking for my family for 30 years and my friend is a champion in BBQ. We both are impressed with the freshness of the vegetables, seafood, and meat. We boiled everything at the table, so if it's not washed cleaned to be eaten raw, then the high water temperature would have sanitized and disintergrated what didn't belong in our mouths.
I visited PiChai Yuan Hot Pot, which is located in Rowland Heights and offers an all-you-can-eat hot pot experience. Outside, the price is advertised as $19.99, but once you go inside, you’ll find that this is the lunch price. If you choose one of the premium options, the price goes up. That said, considering the variety and overall quality, I think the value is still quite reasonable. There are many choices for vegetables and meats, and the seating area is spacious, so it feels comfortable even when it’s busy. Since this place seems fairly new, there were quite a lot of people when we visited. One thing I liked was that you can choose your spice level. We ordered the split pot with Sichuan-style spicy broth, and it suited our taste very well. If you enjoy hot pot and are someone who likes to eat a lot, this is a great place to leave feeling very full and satisfied. Overall, a solid all-you-can-eat hot pot option in the area.
